Responsibility at AURÉM is not a positioning. It is a promise made at the very beginning, before the first collection, before the first order.
AURÉM is an independent house built with intention. We grow at a measured pace, choosing materials, partners and processes that align with our values. Our direction is clear: create thoughtfully, choose well, and improve steadily.
In today's textile landscape, the environmental footprint of clothing remains significant. Textile consumption in the European Union requires substantial land, water and raw materials — a reminder of the importance of making considered choices.
This context reinforces our commitment to act responsibly, even at our scale.

THREE PILLARS. ONE DIRECTION.
Our approach is structured around three pillars.
01 · RESPONSIBLE SOURCING
Materials define the character of every piece.
We use a mix of conventional and more considered materials, and are increasingly working to prioritise certified, traceable or lower-impact fibres wherever we can: GOTS organic cotton, BCI cotton, Lenzing ECOVERO™ viscose, mulesing-free RWS wool, recycled silk, European Flax linen and other alternatives.
Not every material will carry certification or allow full traceability from the start. This process requires time. What we guarantee is intention: each fabric is selected for its quality, durability and alignment with our values. As we grow, our material library will evolve with new responsible alternatives.
We prioritise European sourcing: France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland. When sourcing further afield, we also request and insist on detailed documentation on origin, production conditions and any harmful substances or processes involved.
Part of our materials comes from deadstock — unused stocks of high-quality fabric, sourced among others from luxury fashion houses — which allows us to give existing fabrics a second life and reduce the need to produce new ones.
02 · RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION
Made to order, never just in case
We produce in limited quantities. Our pre-order model helps eliminate surplus and align production with real demand.
We collaborate with artisan workshops in Poland and Spain. We visit them in person. We know who makes our pieces and under what conditions. We prioritize quality and respect for human working conditions over fast production carried out by unknown manufacturers.
03 · RESPONSIBLE PROGRESS
We believe in refinement, not perfection.
Each collection allows us to improve our choices, processes and understanding of impact.
Full supply chain traceability is a long-term goal. As the brand grows, so will our ability to document and share it.
Honest pricing is part of our approach. The cost of a piece reflects the real cost of making it well: quality materials, skilled hands, small-run production, and attention to detail.
We grow at the pace our values allow — intentionally, and with purpose.
TRANSPARENCY AND COMMUNICATION
Our sustainability communication follows a clear principle: precision, intention and evidence.
We use terms such as "responsible", "lower-impact" or "sustainable" only when supported by verified information — whether certifications, material documentation or measurable improvements.
We avoid broad or generic claims. Instead, we communicate what we do, why we do it, and how we plan to improve. Our objective is to use transparent, factual language aligned with our scale as an independent house.
We share progress openly — including areas where development is ongoing, where decisions are made and may not be perfect but are reasonable for the moment. This approach allows us to build trust through clarity rather than overstatement, ensuring that our communication remains consistent, honest and grounded in real actions.
Craftsmanship and expertise are at the heart of our production.
Each piece is shaped by skilled hands — people who understand fabric, fit and construction. We value the time, expertise and care behind every garment. Our relationships with workshops are built on trust, proximity and respect, ensuring that the human dimension of creation is preserved and appreciated.
We choose environments where craftsmanship can thrive, where dialogue is direct and transparent from the beginning, and where the making of a garment remains a meaningful act.
Packaging and labelling are progressively moving towards lower-impact materials — cotton, recycled paper, biodegradable alternatives — as the brand develops.
"Being demanding can coexist with being grateful for others' work and support."
